Our Weekend // 8th - 9th October

This weekend was slightly more interesting than last.

Noah had a birthday party to attend, and whilst he was there having fun we took the other three boys to Pizza Hut for an early lunch.

Noah had a great time and even though its lovely seeing him making some really nice friends its heart-breaking knowing that in a few weeks he'll be leaving them behind as we head off to Norfolk!

Once home I decided to do some baking with the twins, I wanted to spend some one on one time with each of them, so they both made something different.

We were sent some cake boxes from www.bakewithlilianddex.co.uk*
Cake kits perfect for kids.

All the dry ingredients all measured out for you in one box, all you need to do is add butter and mix.
They were just perfect for a rainy day activity.
Alex made the Hairy Hedgehogs and Oscar made the Spooky Spiders.

They turned out amazing and something ill be buying in the future.
They put the store bought cake kits to shame!
You're doing real baking with out half the hassle!

In the evening we had a mum from school - Shelly (www.facebook.com/stomainateacup) whose little boy Tate is in the same class as the twins come over with her kids and partner for dinner.

We all had pizza and then whilst the kids played we sat and chilled out in the lounge.
It was nice to have other adults round, to have some normal conversation with.
Jon doesn't really like to socialize much (he's a proper hermit) but he even enjoyed himself and got on really well with both Shell and James.

On Sunday we went off to find a new park to let the boys run off some steam .... though saying that they didn't have much steam as they were all up till past 11 Saturday evening., and walk Ray.

He still cant walk to far without his wound opening up again, So whilst Jon did a quick lap the boys tried out all the different climbing frames and slides.
We then went on a hunt in the woods to find some things to make an autumnal collage for the twins homework.

I finished up the day by ironing all the boys uniform and chilling out with a cup of coffee.
Noah went off with Mia from over the road to the arcades down in Leysdown with her mum and dad.

What did you get up to over the weekend?
