Blogger Event || River Thames Boat Trip With PG tips!

Yesterday I had a very exciting date with a very famous monkey and a boat.

PG tips had invited me on a boat trip down the River Thames to celebrate all things Green Tea.
The boat was boarding at 11.15, it was a bit of a mad rush to get there, we also got slightly lost trying to find the boat but we made it in the end, and we weren't left waiting on the pier.

I went up with Serena and met my sister in law to be Kelly at Victoria station.

The boat was docked just by Tower Bridge and headed down to Westminster for a special surprise...

A giant green monkey floating in the middle of the River Thames.
I was secretly hoping Johnny Vegas was going to come along on a jet ski and doing an amazing stunt, but unfortunately no such luck.

I had a fabulous time on board. We had a choice of Green Teas and a lovely brunch had been prepared.
I couldn't think of a nicer way to spend a Monday morning.
Sure was a great start to the week.

It was lovely seeing London from the River, something I've never done.
Even back when I was working in London, it was something that never crossed my mind, I highly recommend doing it if you can. You wont regret it.

I managed to get some good snaps but I'm kicking myself that I didn't take my Nikon along with me.
I really need to make an effort with that camera, the poor thing probably hates me!

So a little bit about Green Tea, just in case you've been hiding in a cupboard and didn't know how fantastic it was.

Where does green tea come from?
Well chums, green tea actually comes from the same plant as other tea: the Camellia Sinensis.
The reason green tea tastes, smells and looks so unique comes down to the way the leaves are treated. As soon as they’ve been harvested, the leaves are steamed to stop them oxidising and turning brown, as they would when making black tea. Crikey, sounds like thirsty work!
Did you know?
China is by far the world’s largest green tea exporter, producing about 80% of the world’s green tea. Japan, Indonesia and Vietnam are also very keen green tea farmers.

The PG tips Green tea range is amazing!
You can get just plain old Green Tea,

HOW AMAZING DOES THAT SOUND!
I am on a hunt for that tomorrow!
