My new thing for 2016 - Amigurumi

Crochet Is not really a new thing for me as I did pick up a little bit last year.

This year however I really want to give it a  proper go and make something that will make my heart go all a flutter ....

Amigurumi Dolls

Last year was all about learning the stitches and trying to do granny squares - I soon got bored and put down my hooks!

This year, I'm going to try and aim to make some beautiful Amigurumi dolls!

You can find some ridiculously cute patterns on the World Wide Web, such as these adorable ones from Lalylala.

I would love to be able to make all of them!!
I started my journey off last night by learning how to make a ball - I've read once you've perfected that the dolls really aren't so hard to master!
Once I've used YouTube to its full potential I'll then go and by some patterns from Lalylala and give them ago.

I need to get some stitch markers and some stuffing and I can really go go go.
I'm planning a trip to HobbyCraft one Noah and the twins are back at school and nursery to get some fabric to make some cushion covers so I can pick up done yarn and bits whilst I'm there.

My aim, is to be able to make a doll it by the end of the year!
Reasonable target I think, practise every night once the beasties are all in bed and I should catch on.
I do like to think of myself as being crafty, I just need to set the time aside to do so!
