John Adams Pixelo Neon

The boys all take after me and love anything arty ... especially colouring in.
I find it extremely relaxing and its the one activity that I know all the boys will happily join in with.

I was recently invited to do some reviews for the brand new John Adams Craft Club that launched at the end of September.

On the Facebook page John Adams features craft tips/ideas, competitions, reviews and a whole lot of other fun things.

For our first review the boys picked Pixelo

The boys all really loved the look of the colouring sheets, but of course they all wanted the same one to start with.
So rather than them fight over the skull, I decided to copy a few so they could all do it, and whilst copying a copy for them I decided id have a go too, so I did an extra one for myself.

So now we still have the original colouring page incase they want to do it again.

With all the boys sat at the table waiting for me to add the battery to the Pixelo pen so they could get going.
We decided we would have two goes each and then pass the Pixelo pen on to the next person.
Surprisingly they all - even Ru very nicely took it turns to have a go and didn't moan whilst they were waiting.
Whilst they waited to use the pen they coloured in the other bits by hand.

Being a big kid, I went first - just so that I could show them how to use the Pixelo pen.
It was pretty easy, the pen clicked in nicely and then all you had to do is hold it nice and straight then guide it across the paper so it can go dot crazy!

Noah went next and took to it like a pro, the results were very pretty.
After Noah had finished his go the twins each had a go, with me helping them, they did ok but they  needed a lot of help.
Ru had a go and he did alright for someone who has no proper pen control.

This is not something I would have typically picked out for the boys but seeing how easy and fun it was and how much they all enjoyed it,  it's definitely something I would buy for them in the future.
Or even as a present for one of their friends!

We all had a fun filled afternoon doing our colouring and everyone really enjoyed using the Pixelo pen to make their picture extra special.
Each of our colourings turned out differently, even though they all started off the same.

Noah's is the first fox, Oscars is the second fox and Alex did the Candy Skull.

In the manual there is a web address to where you can download extra colouring sheets once you have used up all the ones that the box comes with.

You can buy Pixelo Neon from Smyths Toys for £18.99
